Women in Relationships (Ladies read this!)

Women in relationships: probably what women most want in a relationship is to feel loved, secure and validated.  Do men have the same needs?  Do they express love in the same way as women?  This is an interesting question because according to ABC’s Good Morning America “a study found that kissing, cuddling and caressing are more important to men than women.”  However, we don’t need a researcher to tell us touch is important to us as women.  Women in relationships care about their partners and need affection and attention from them.  So it would seem that at least on this point, men and women are reaching a consensus.

There are serious problems that women in relationships face, however, and I will be giving you a link that will help you in your relationship with your husband or significant other because it appears that in a survey of divorce cases, 75% of men had engaged in extra-marital affairs!  Read on for some warning signs that should not be ignored in your relationship.

English: A young woman and man embracing while...

According to ABC’s Nightline, a study did find that men are “adopting many of the attitudes that we’ve long attributed to women, and women are adopting the attitudes we’ve long attributed to men”.  According to this study, “men fall in love faster than women”, but don’t get me wrong, women and men are different.  Women in relationships face different challenges than men, in particular because men and women have different communication styles and view the world in different ways.

Discussing “Women in relationships” unfortunately, must entail a discussion of heartache and broken promises.  As much as we would like to say that our relationships as women are happy and satisfactory, especially in terms of our spouse or significant other, we all know that there is room for improvement and some of us may fear that the relationship is in a downward spiral.

Ask yourself: Does your man seem distant? Would you like him to change? Does it seem like the romance is gone from the relationship?   Does he seem to be somewhat unloving or neglectful?  Does he pay less attention to you than he used to?

As any woman would tell you, it is best not to ignore any of those red flags!

As you know, over half of all marriages end in divorce, but that’s not all!  According to Wikipedia:

“An annual study in the UK by management consultants Grant Thornton, estimates the main proximal causes of divorce based on surveys of matrimonial lawyers.

According to this survey, husbands engaged in extramarital affairs in 75% of cases; wives in 25%. […]  53% of divorces were of marriages that had lasted 10 to 15 years, with 40% ending after 5 to 10 years. ”  No one is really safe!

But women in relationships who are proactive enough to look for options before the problems they are facing turn into enormous issues, now have access to amazing tools that offer help so that divorce need not be the end result of relationship problems.  Marriage counseling is not the only solution.  You may not even be able to drag your partner to counseling sessions!

In an article I recently read in Relationships Headquarters “men want to be lured, finessed, bewitched, possessed and seduced by a woman”.  Don’t women want very similar things?  A woman wants to be courted, enticed, flattered, charmed, praised and pursued by a man.  It would seem that men and women, although different, have some common ground in which to build.  Women in relationships, take charge of your relationships today!

Perhaps things are well and you just want to move in for the kill so that your man loves you and adores you even more than he does now, if so:
